About Chiltern Wool
Based within a state of the art “green” shed adjacent to Ashridge Forest, the brand combines the production of woollen items with the establishment of a modern methodology for community living – Think Global, Act Local.
Chiltern Wool sells a range of items in store or online, and as a specialist service welcomes designers, knitters and new customers to come and create simple woollen items with our state of the art knitting machines. Bear in mind that creating knitted items is a whole different scenario to making woven garments so allow a LOT of time!!
The business is a new start-up and emerged due to the fact that Rachel and Steve both wanted to be involved in a business which sustains the environment by using local wool and utilising a local workforce.
When Rachel and Steve moved to the Chiltern Wool site in 2014, they saw the potential to build a workshop for the business.
P.S. Can you see the sheep Poppy is looking at?
